I always remember my dad telling me that a weed is just a plant growing where you don’t want it to be! I think the main problem is that they’re plants that multiply rapidly – you might start out with a single plant growing where you don’t want it but you’ll end up with a whole host of them! As a fan of wildflowers, most of my favourite flowers are probably classed as weeds, 🙂

I agree – I love wildflowers. I’m glad I got a photo of the flower – the gardener came along later in the day and weed-whacked it into oblivion!
